TechINK Clearcoat Solutions fuel new “Roller Coater” System

Magic-Vision B.V. in the Netherlands has introduced the “Roller Coater”, a unique matched component system that uses TechINK’s latest range of clearcoat ink solutions.

The “Roller Coater” has been developed as a modular solution which can be easily upgraded with various integrated IR dryers or standalone dryers in order to increase machine capacity. This innovative product is aimed at medium and large-sized, high-volume sign and screen printing companies operating in the large format presentation graphics environment.

Due to smart engineering, change-over and cleaning times are very short. The system is able to coat roll-to-roll, sheets and rigid materials.

A unique fluid separation system allows for quick and efficient setting of the continuously variable coating width from 50 to 2000 mm. Coating is only applied on the substrate, thanks to electronically controlled rolls. The machine virtually stays clean and as a result cleaning or changing coating fluid only takes a matter of minutes.

This Roller Coater is able to apply coatings on all sorts of substrates with a maximum substrate thickness of 70 mm (2.75 inch). Maximum operating width is 2 meter (6.5 ft) and the maximum operating speed is 12 m/min (40 ft/min). The coating system reaches a surface coating speed of 24 m2/min (260 sq.ft/min).

Using high quality ISO certified, 2-component clearcoats, specially researched and developed by TechINK Ltd., the “Roller Coater” is taking liquid laminating to a higher industrial level allowing excellent interface abilities for both today’s and tomorrow’s high-end industrial printers.
